Circle

I never valued it, but now I recognize it’s unlimited influence.

It has a unique capability of creating unjustified happiness for human beings, allowing them to get past their worries and pain, even if for a while.
It has the power of becoming a unified national goal in a time where all goals and dreams have vanished.
It can achieve what politics failed to achieve, and even surpass it in many occasions.
It has the ability to create conflicts between two nations, who were once united by the circle of religion, language, and race. It divided the two lands, cut the joints of blood, and even created a fake glory for those who don’t deserve it.
I never valued it, but now I’m sure of it’s power.

I decided to go back to the circle in the middle, where it all began, and where the two lands were once united.

The series is the first part of an uncompleted photography project about this game.
Somewhere far away from the lights and the media noise … a school in Masr el Qadema …
children playing only for the sake of nothing but enjoying the game.

Circle in the middle .. from where was the beginning .. and in which the two lands united ..
