"........ we tried them in Tunis until their bombs became useless ... God be with you, Egyptians"
Those messages spread after the first night of the Egyptian revolution when the police forces successfully put an end to the demonstrations. The teargas bombs and the lack of the protesters' experience in facing them were the weapons that ended the demonstrations.
On the next day, the messages were sent by the Tunisian protesters explaining how to face the gas.
On Anger Friday, Egyptians had the bottles of vingar and coke.. They could finally stand up to the soldiers and started the protests beating the 30-years old regime.
The work consists of 3 photos ,size 60cm X 120cm printed with Cyanotype in a cotton paper.
The labels of vinegar and coke bottles have been modified with the instructions of use to be produced as "revolutionary products".
The work is a part of the exhibition "Shift Delete 30".
خل.. عسكري.. كولا..
"........... جرّبنا هذا في تونس حتى باتت قنابلهم بلا جدوى .. الله معكم يا مصرين"
انتشرت الرسائل بعد الليلة الأولى من الثورة المصرية بعدما استطاعت قوات الأمن فض الاعتصام في منتصف الليل.
كانت القنابل المسيلة للدموع وقلة خبرة المصريين في مواجهتها هي السلاح الذي أنهى الإعتصام.
ظهرت رسائل في اليوم التالي من الثوار التونسيين يشرحون فيه كيفية مواجهة الغاز.
نزل المصريون يوم جمعة الغضب بزجاجات الخل و الكولا.. استطاعوا مواجهة العسكري, بدأوا الاعتصام.. و تغلبوا على نظام ال30
عام.
يتكون العمل من ثلاثة صور فوتوغرافية مقاس "120cmX60cm" مطبوعين بطريقة السيانوتايب على ورق قطن.
تم تغيير ملصقات الزجاجتين بتغيير طريقة الاستخدام لجعلهم منتجات ثورية انتجت لهذا الغرض.
